Strategic End-of-Life Monetization Planner (IC4)

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Planner to support OCI’s End-of-Life (EOL) Monetization program. This role will help maximize value recovery from excess, obsolete, and decommissioned hardware while ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient disposition of OCI assets.

Reporting into the Product Lifecycle and EOL Monetization organization, this IC4 role will work across Supply Chain, Data Center Operations, Engineering, Security, Finance, Logistics, Procurement, and external recovery partners. The successful candidate will turn asset, inventory, demand, and recovery data into actionable disposition plans for new/never-used excess parts, data-bearing consumables, and decommissioned rack components.

This individual will support OCI’s phased Hybrid EOL strategy: using qualified external partners for resale, logistics, and recycling while helping build OCI-controlled processes for high-value, high-risk activities such as data sanitization and component decommissioning. The role requires strong analytical judgment, supply-chain execution experience, and the ability to coordinate complex work across a global, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

EOL Planning, Asset Segmentation & Recovery Strategy

• Develop and maintain EOL recovery plans for excess inventory, cancelled orders, over-provisioned material, consumable components, and decommissioned rack hardware.

• Analyze inventory and asset data to segment materials into the appropriate recovery path: reuse, resale, high-value component harvest, recycling, or scrap.

• Evaluate recovery opportunities across high-value parts, including memory, SSDs, CPUs, NICs, power supplies, chassis, cabling, and other server and infrastructure components.

• Partner with Supply Planning, Materials Execution, NPI, and Sustaining teams to identify EOL exposure early and reduce avoidable excess and obsolete inventory.

• Support product-transition, stop/ship, purge, and end-of-life planning by defining material-disposition requirements, timing, ownership, and financial implications.

• Assess recovery economics by part category, including expected resale value, recovery cost, processing effort, vendor share, logistics cost, and time to monetize.

Decommissioning, Sanitization & Chain-of-Custody Execution

• Coordinate planning for decommissioned hardware from data center exit through disposition, including asset identification, handling requirements, decommissioning sequencing, and handoff to approved recovery channels.

• Support secure processes for data-bearing components, particularly SSDs and other storage devices, by tracking sanitization, destruction, verification, and required documentation.

• Maintain part- and lot-level visibility into asset status, chain of custody, sanitization completion, recovery pathway, and final disposition.

• Partner with Security, Legal, Compliance, and Data Center Operations to ensure EOL processes meet OCI standards for data protection, auditability, export controls, and responsible recycling.

• Identify process gaps that could create data-security, compliance, counterfeit, asset-loss, or recovery-value risk; drive action plans with the appropriate stakeholders.

• Support implementation of OCI-owned sanitization and high-value decommissioning capabilities as the EOL program evolves toward the Hybrid model.

External Partner & Operational Coordination

• Serve as an operational planning interface with approved recovery, resale, logistics, recycling, and IT asset disposition partners.

• Track partner commitments, throughput, turnaround time, resale performance, revenue share, audit documentation, and issue-resolution actions.

• Support partner business reviews by compiling performance data, open risks, improvement opportunities, and decisions needed.

• Coordinate requirements and operational handoffs between OCI teams and external partners for collection, packaging, transport, sanitization, resale, recycling, and reporting.

• Help assess partner capacity, geographic coverage, certifications, and readiness to support domestic and international EOL operations.

• Support efforts to improve commercial and operational outcomes through expanded recovery scope, improved reporting transparency, higher recovery rates, and diversified partner capabilities.

Data Analysis, Reporting & Decision Support

• Analyze EOL inventory volumes, recovery rates, resale performance, cost to recover, decommissioning throughput, and financial outcomes by asset category and region.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, trackers, and executive-ready updates that provide visibility into recovered revenue, margin, asset status, data-sanitization completion, recovery cycle time, and program risks.

• Support development of KPI frameworks for EOL monetization, including recovery rate, revenue realized, gross margin, processing cost, vendor performance, audit compliance, and turnaround time.

• Translate complex asset, financial, and operational data into clear recommendations for program managers and leadership.

• Identify trends and root causes affecting excess generation, recovery velocity, recovery value, inventory aging, or vendor performance.

• Partner with Data and Automation teams to improve data quality, automate reporting, and strengthen part-level asset visibility.

Cross-Functional Program Execution

• Coordinate workstreams and action plans across Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Center Operations, Security, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Logistics, and external partners.

• Facilitate recurring operational reviews, track actions and dependencies, and escalate issues that could affect recovery value, launch readiness, data security, or compliance.

• Support execution of program milestones for domestic and international EOL monetization capabilities.

• Document decisions, risks, requirements, and process changes to ensure consistent execution across teams and regions.

• Drive continuous-improvement initiatives that improve decommissioning throughput, recovery economics, asset visibility, and operational discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

• 6-10+ years of experience in supply chain planning, materials management, manufacturing operations, reverse logistics, product lifecycle management, asset disposition, or related hardware supply chain roles.

• Experience supporting complex hardware, cloud infrastructure, data center, manufacturing, or technology supply chains.

• Experience with excess and obsolete inventory, product transitions, end-of-life planning, material disposition, or recovery programs.

• Experience working with contract manufacturers, logistics providers, suppliers, recovery partners, or recycling/IT asset disposition vendors.

• Experience supporting cross-functional programs in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong understanding of inventory management, materials planning, product lifecycle management, and supply-chain execution.

• Ability to analyze inventory, asset, cost, and recovery data and translate findings into clear operational recommendations.

• Familiarity with decommissioning, reverse logistics, hardware recovery, resale, recycling, or circular-economy processes is preferred.

• Familiarity with data sanitization, chain-of-custody, asset tracking, or compliance requirements for data-bearing hardware is preferred.

• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM, ERP, PLM, asset-management systems, or similar enterprise tools is preferred.

• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, reporting tools, and supply-chain data analysis; experience with Power BI, Oracle Analytics, or similar tools is a plus.
