Meet the Team

As a senior member of theFoundationsorganization, you will lead the design and delivery of robust, resilient, andscalableplatformsolutions that host Splunk’s enterprise software. Your focus will be on driving automation and solving complex, cross-functional challenges to ensure seamless, high-quality services fortheusers. This role offers a unique opportunity toleverageyouradvanced cloudexpertisetoinfluencethe growth and evolution of the Splunk Cloud platform.

Your impact  

  • Architect, develop, and maintainSplunkcore platform infrastructurecomponentsacrossmultiple cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure), focusing on scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.

  • Architect and oversee the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of cloud-nativeapplications, including enhancing AWS-based services.

  • Drive improvementsin availability, performance, efficiency, and security through software deployment,utilizinglanguages and tools such asGo,C++,Pythonand Kubernetes.

  • Apply software engineering best practices in distributed systems programming, including debugging, performance tuning, and reliability engineering for complex systems like CDNs, databases, and data replication.

  • Proactivelymonitorsystem health and lead incident response efforts toidentifyroot causes and mitigate performance bottlenecks beforeimpactingcustomers.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptability within an agile, fast-paced environment, encouraging innovation and exploration ofnew technologies.

  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Minimum qualifications

  • Proven experience deploying critical cloudnative applicationswith innovative engineering approaches.

  • Solid software engineering skills.

  • Expertisemanaging SaaS and/or on-premises applications at scale, including containerized environments.

  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and associated service deployment and maintenance.

  • Strong understanding of cloud-based database management systems, particularly Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL technologies.

  • Proficiencyin scripting and automation using Bash, Python, and Go.

Preferred qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins), infrastructure automation (Terraform), collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence), Kubernetes, networking protocols, DNS, load balancing, API gateways, service mesh, and TLS infrastructure.

  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.

  • Experience working within Scrum, Kanban, orSAFeagile methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, make responsible decisions, and thrive in a fast-changing, unstructured environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to mentor and support colleagues.

  • Innovative mindset with openness to learningnew technologiesand collaborating across teams.
