Position Overview
Intuit's Platform Brand Marketing organization is entering an ambitious year, bringing new capabilities to market under the Intuit brand, activating a founding partnership with Team USA and the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and evolving how the Intuit brand shows up across campaigns, products, cultural moments, and sponsorships.
As Principal, Platform Brand Marketing Strategic Operations, you are the operating backbone behind that portfolio. You shape how the organization operates and carries its story to leadership. You build and establish the rhythms, frameworks, and reporting that connect priorities, plans, investment, and performance so leadership has a clear view of the business and where decisions are needed. You bring fluency in brand and creative, strong operational judgment, and experience navigating a fast-paced, cross-functional SaaS environment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Operating Rhythm, Scale & Operational Excellence
Architect and run the operating system for Platform Brand Marketing — including leadership cadences, performance reviews, QBRs, annual planning, and decision forums — so priorities, investments, and teams stay aligned and leadership attention is focused on the decisions that matter.
Own the integrated brand portfolio calendar and use it to shape sequencing across campaigns, activations, and cultural moments — avoiding collisions, identifying opportunities for halo, and protecting the exploration time strong creative work requires.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve how the organization works, and design and implement AI-enabled, scalable solutions that simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, strengthen reporting, and accelerate decision-making.
Drive the 3-year and 1-year Platform Brand planning cycles, translating brand and campaign priorities into a sequenced portfolio of initiatives with clear owners, milestones, success measures, investment requirements, and accountability.
2. Executive Reporting & Communications
Build the recurring Platform Brand Marketing executive reporting — pull together the data, find the story, and deliver clear communications that answer: How are we performing? Where are we headed? Where do we need a decision, and why does it matter?
Get ahead of the questions before they’re asked - anticipate what the executive team will need to align, decide, and act, and bring forward the data, recommendations, and clear action plans that keep the team moving quickly.
Build high-trust relationships across Finance, Sales, Product Marketing, Media, Comms, and other partners, acting as the connective tissue that keeps brand priorities, investments, and execution aligned.
4. Investment, Budget and Performance Visibility
Establish consistent processes to evaluate how Platform Brand Marketing invests - recommending where to shift spend, when to double down, and what to cut based on what is driving results.
Drive the annual and in-year budget process end-to-end: build the investment case, defend allocation in company-wide planning, and manage forecast cycles as priorities evolve
Leverage AI tools to build real-time budgeting dashboards and automate reporting, freeing up capacity for higher-order analysis and strategy in partnership with the finance team.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required
8+ years in marketing operations, business operations, or marketing strategy, including meaningful experience supporting brand and creative organizations at scale.
Brand fluency: You understand how full-funnel campaigns and activations are built, measured, and funded, and can use that fluency to challenge sequencing and identify portfolio opportunities. You are comfortable reading and using brand health and campaign performance data.
Financial fluency: comfortable with forecasts, accruals, plan-to-budget reconciliation, and translating investment data into a clear executive narrative. You have owned the operating and reporting layer for a portfolio at scale; a Finance background is not required.
Exceptional executive communication: able to compress messy, incomplete inputs into a short, factual point of view, a clear recommendation, and communications written credibly in a leader's voice.
Builder from ambiguity: takes problems that arrive unformed; shifting priorities, funding that moves underneath a plan, or a question no one has structured yet, and comes back with a framework, first draft, or recommendation rather than a request for direction. You can point to operating mechanisms you built from zero, explain the choices you made, and show how they changed the way a team worked.
Influence through operating discipline: builds mechanisms where accountability is structural; cadences, decision forums, and sources of truth people trust and use, and drives adoption without direct authority over the teams involved.
AI fluency: You actively use AI in your work today; for analysis, synthesis, reporting, automation, or drafting and look for practical ways to eliminate repetitive work.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Preferred
Experience inside a multi-brand portfolio, where a parent brand sits over distinct product brands
Prior consulting experience
Experience supporting a CMO or senior marketing executive in a high-growth environment
Prior experience building or scaling a marketing COE or operating model from the ground up
