Role Purpose:


Define, validate and maintain robust software architectures that translate product, system, deployment, cybersecurity and customer requirements into scalable, maintainable and testable solutions. The position covers application architecture, interfaces, deployment models, technical prototyping, software quality and delivery documentation.

  • Software developers, technical leads, DevOps and infrastructure teams
  • Validation, integration, technical support teams

Duties and Responsibilities:


As part of a multidisciplinary R&D environment, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end software architecture of applications and product evolutions.
  • Translate functional, system, customer, security and operational requirements into architecture specifications.
  • Define application components, service boundaries, APIs, interfaces, data flows and dependencies.
  • Design deployment architectures for physical servers, virtual machines, containers and hybrid environments, including Docker and KVM-based solutions.
  • Build proofs of concept to validate feasibility, performance, deployability and maintainability before full implementation.
  • Create and maintain software architecture documentation, deployment views and technical decision records.
  • Guide development teams, review major design choices and promote modularity, reuse, testability and controlled technical debt.
  • Contribute to software quality practices, static analysis, quality gates and continuous improvement of development workflows.
  • Support integration, troubleshooting, release preparation and customer-specific delivery activities.
  • Produce clear installation, upgrade, rollback, configuration and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Ensure a technological watch and identify relevant technologies, tools and engineering practices.


Profile and Skills:


You enjoy working with autonomy and ownership in a multidisciplinary environment. You can connect system-level needs with pragmatic software design and explain complex architectural choices to both specialists and non-specialists.

Education: Engineering degree or equivalent in software engineering, computer science, telecommunications or a related field.

Experience: Significant experience in software design and architecture for multi-component, Linux-based solutions.


Technical Skills

  • Software architecture, design patterns, APIs and distributed or multi-component applications
  • Linux server environments, Docker containers and KVM or equivalent virtualization
  • Deployment, configuration, upgrade, rollback and recovery mechanisms
  • Source control, continuous integration, automated validation and static analysis tools such as Gitlab and SonarQube
  • Architecture modelling, technical documentation and structured troubleshooting


Nice to Have / Interest In

  • Optical transport, DWDM systems
  • Customer-deployed server applications for equipment configuration and monitoring
  • Knowledge in C/C++, Java, JavaScript Node.js and Vue.js programming

  • Pedagogy, clear written communication and ability to facilitate architecture reviews
  • Rigor in documentation, traceability, risk management and configuration control
