Duties and Responsibilities:


As part of the Celestis NMS Development team of 8 people, reporting to Celestis NMS R&D Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:


  • Design and implementation based on detailed technical requirements in an autonomous manner,
  • Develop technical proposals, able to assess effort and complexity of a development task, assess feasibility
  • Define the methods, the means of studies and design, and their implementation
  • Identify the constraints of a project and inter-dependencies
  • Carry out tests and trials, analyze the results and determine next actions to reach the expected level of quality
  • Provide technical assistance and ensure timely fixing of issues reported from test teams or customers
  • Evaluation of 3rd party solutions (software or hardware components), integration of components from open-sources
  • Apply Ekinops processes and tools, such as Agile Development practices, DevSecOps, etc
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies (sprint kick-off, sprint retrospective, daily meetings, …)
  • Provide documentation (for internal and external use)
  • Apply best practices and rules in terms of Security by Design

Profile and skills:

You are an autonomous, proactive, eager to develop engineer with the following skills and experience:


General:

  • Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Professional experience 5+ years minimum
  • Strong knowledge in development


Technical knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of Java, Maven, Spring Boot
  • Proficient with Typescript/JavaScript, NodeJS, HTML, CSS technologies: you understand complex web software distribution, you can leverage Angular, jQuery frameworks.
  • Knowledge about good security practices
  • Having a networking background with Telecom NOCs or SDN related technologies would be a plus; abilities to understand Yang-based network modeling from IETF or other standardization bodies.
  • Good understanding of PostgreSQL databases
  • Knowledge of Agile approach would be a plus
  • Ability to learn including self-training
