About the job

The Inside Sales team is looking for an Inside Sales Account Representative to help drive incremental revenue growth by selling SAS software, services, and solutions to current and prospective customers. In this role, you’ll work independently and collaboratively with field sales teams to identify opportunities, build pipeline, and grow customer relationships within an assigned territory.

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will:

  • Drive incremental revenue by managing and expanding a defined territory of current and prospective customers through inbound and outbound sales activities.
  • Qualify, prioritize, and manage sales opportunities, building and maintaining a healthy pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate closely with field sales, marketing, and internal partners to execute territory and account plans.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with multiple buying stakeholders to uncover software, services, and training needs.
  • Prepare standard quotes, proposals, and sales documentation, working cross-functionally to support contract finalization and fulfillment.
  • Accurately forecast sales activity and update customer and opportunity information in internal CRM systems.
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in sales or telesales in an industry related environment.
  • 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, prospect development or customer-facing commercial experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect quality opportunities and manage multiple sales engagements simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to convey business and technical concepts by phone.
  • Experience using CRM tools and working with sales performance metrics.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team-oriented sales environment.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
  • Position location: Toronto or Ottawa (Hybrid)

The base salary range for this position is $63,274 CAD–$70, CAD per year and is a good-faith estimate only. Actual pay will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay is just one component of SAS’s total compensation package for employees. Employees may also be eligible for commission or a discretionary bonus (based on company and individual performance), as determined by the role.
